No van a faltar pueblos bonitos cerca de París. En este caso vamos a viajar hasta Gerberoy. Es el destino soñado por los amantes de las flores y de las rosas. Callejuelas empedradas, casas antiguas de los siglos XVII y XVIII, y flores por todos lados. Gerberoy es uno de los pueblos más bellos de Francia: un lugar de encuentro para los amantes de la naturaleza y el arte, un paréntesis romántico cerca de Beauvais.

Cada año, el tercer domingo de junio, Gerberoy celebra las rosas: en ese momento, cientos de flores despliegan sus pétalos.

Museo Municipal – Ayuntamiento

El edificio de Ayuntamiento se encuentra al principio o fin de la calle principal según se mire. Se trata de una construcción efectuada en ladrillo que data del siglo XVIII, restaurada en 1999 con el apoyo del Estado, el comité de fiestas de la ciudad y el Club Los Leones de Beauvais.

Consta de dos plantas, ubicándose en el entresuelo diversos departamentos oficiales, y en la primera se encuentra el Museo de la Ciudad con varios objetos antiguos, entre mis preferidos aquellos pupitres de escuela antiguos con el tintero y plumilla.
En el exterior una vieja cabina de teléfono y un buzón para correos, evocan épocas anteriores. Frente a esto, nos encontramos con una pequeña pero bonita plazuela donde a la sombra de sus árboles uno se autoinvita a sentarse para disfrutar de todo aquell
Registros locales, cerámica Beauvais, antigüedades, pinturas de artistas y una evocación del pintor Henri Le Sidaner (1862-1939).

Jardines Henri Le Sidaner

Enrique el Sidaner, nacido en Port Louis (Mauricio) en 1862 y murió en París en 1939, fue un pintor francés. Gerberoy fue una inspiración para el artista.
Compró una casa y amplió su campo. Las ruinas de la antigua fortaleza fueron transformados por el pintor Henri Le Sidaner. Hoy es un hermoso jardín visible desde las murallas.

Colegiata de San Pedro

Sus orígenes se remontan al siglo XI pero destruida durante la guerra de los cien años y construida de nuevo en el siglo XV. Bastante deteriorada con el paso del tiempo, fué restaurada entre los años 1997-1999.
Su exterior quizás no sea de los más bellos, sin embargo en su interior se conserva algo que hacia muchísimos años que no veía, se trata de los bancos cerrados.
