Otro año y como siempre, tenemos el consurso para premiar a la mejor Baguette de París.

Todo el mundo sabe de la baguette, el pan más emblemático del pan francés. Sin lugar a dudas, París es la única ciudad donde los panaderos saben cómo hacer las cosas bien. Algunos clichés sobre los parisinos no siempre se corresponden con la realidad, sin embargo, uno es cierto. Los verdaderos parisinos regresan a casa casi todas las noches con una barra de pan en las manos.
Cada primavera, los panaderos de todo París se reúnen para esta competencia tan seria, que tiene lugar en la encantadora isla de Saint Louis, en la Cámara de Profesionales de los Panaderos.
El jurado está compuesto por una serie de estimados expertos, periodistas y, por supuesto, el ganador del año anterior. Seis afortunados parisinos también participarán en el veredicto.
Las baguettes se evalúan considerando 5 criterios precisos: horneado, sabor, olor, textura y aspecto. El jurado emite un voto y hace una lista de las 10 mejores baguettes de París.
¡El ganador del primer premio no solo recoge un premio de 4000 €, sino también el privilegio de ser el proveedor oficial del Palacio del Elíseo (la casa del presidente francés) durante un año! Además, la ceremonia tiene lugar en la isla de Cité, en la explanada de la catedral de Notre-Dame, en presencia del alcalde de la ciudad.



La mejor Baguette de París 2019

Para probar la mejor baguette de toda la ciudad, hay que ir  a la panadería Leroy-Monti en el distrito 12.  Al frente de la panadería, Fabrice Leroy ganó la 25ª edición del Gran Premio de la cultura de la tradición parisina [Gran Premio de la mejor baguette tradicional parisina].
Fabrice Leroy derrotó al ganador del año pasado Mahmoud M’eddi de la panadería M’seddi en el distrito 1 de París y gana el concurso a la mejor baguette en París 2019.
