Hemos invertido bastante del presupuesto de viajes…para visitar esta casa de té en París donde se puede probar la bebida favorita de María Antonieta

Nina’s tiene dos  dos casas de té, uno junto a la Plaza Vendome, en el centro de Paris y otra en Versailles, en «Le Potager du Roi», un jardín creado durante la época de Luis XIV.
Esta elegante casa de té lleva a viajar con los sentidos con solo mirar la fachada del lugar. Con una estética romántica y delicada que parece estar inspirada en el salón de un palacio francés.
Nació en 1672, cuando Pierre Diaz creó «La Distillerie Fréres», una compañía de fragancias que perfumó a todos los integrantes de la Corte de Versalles, a Luis XIV y a María Antonieta. Años después todos estos conocimientos sobre perfumes fueron volcados en el arte de elaborar los tés NINA’S, cuyo nombre homenajea a Nina Diaz, la mujer que enamoró a María Antonieta con su torta dedicada a ella llamada NINASETTE.
 Los tés de NINA’S cuentan con un exclusivo acceso: las rarezas frutales de este jardín forman parte de los componentes de muchas de las infusiones de la Tienda. El Té María Antonieta, uno de los más exclusivos del mundo, está elaborado con manzanas frescas cosechadas a mano y rosas del jardín.

Si hay un personaje vilipendiado sin piedad en su tiempo fue María Antonia Josefa Juana de Habsburgo-Lorena, archiduquesa de Austria y reina consorte de Francia. En su persona se concentró todo el odio acumulado por el pueblo durante años y años de opresión, seguramente debido a que sumaba su condición de extranjera (y encima austríaca, enemigos seculares) a la de soberana.

Es un lugar bastante caro. Para visitar al menos una vez y llevarnos el recuerdo.  23 euros por un trozo de tarta y té o 15 euros por té solo.
