Con 35.000 nuevos contagios en las últimas 24 horas, “la reaceleración de la epidemia se asemeja a una tercera ola” en Francia. Con esta constatación, el primer ministro francés, Jean Castex, anunció un nuevo confinamiento en las regiones donde la epidemia golpea con más fuerza.

La medida afectará a 16 departamentos, entre ellos Île-de-France -que incluye París-, a partir de la medianoche de este viernes y durará cuatro semanas.
En las regiones afectadas -8 departamentos de Île-de-France, 5 de Hauts-de-France, Alpes-Maritimes y Var-, sólo los comercios esenciales -incluidos las librerías- podrán abrir sus puertas. Los colegios continuarán abiertos y “funcionarán normalmente”. Los institutos podrán acoger al 50% de sus estudiantes. Los desplazamientos para “hacer deporte o tomar el aire” no tendrán un límite horario, pero no deberán superar los 10 kilómetros de distancia del domicilio. Para salir de casa será indispensable llevar consigo un justificante.
Los desplazamientos entre regiones estarán prohibidos salvo “motivo imperioso“. El único punto positivo: el toque de queda, actualmente decretado a partir de las 18 horas, pasará a las 19 horas a partir de este sábado en todos los departamentos. “No son buenas noticias”, reconoció el jefe del Ejecutivo, pero son “justas y equilibradas“, continuó durante su esperada rueda de prensa.

Situación preocupante en París

Con más de 440 casos por cada 100.000 habitantes (un 23% más en una semana), la tasa de incidencia en la región parisina supera con creces el umbral decretado por el primer ministro para reconfinar a la población. A esta cifra se suma la tensión hospitalaria, más de 1.100 pacientes se encuentran ingresados en las ucis de la región de París, más de la cuarta parte de los de toda Francia, obligando a posponer operaciones y a trasladar a sus pacientes a otras regiones. Ante este escenario, el anuncio de nuevas restricciones en toda la región parisina no ha sido ninguna sorpresa.
“La vida en esta región [Île-de-France] sigue siendo un poco diferente y el confinamiento durante los fines de semana es una medida complicada de tomar”, señaló este miércoles el presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron, descartando sutilmente la hipótesis de un confinamiento limitado a los fines de semana. “Tenemos que reflexionar colectivamente […] Para encontrar las medidas adecuadas, ofrecer un horizonte temporal, tener en cuenta las realidades de la vida cotidiana [en la región de París]. Hay personas que todas las noches regresan a casa tarde después del trabajo, y no podemos reconfinarles de viernes a domingo por la noche, es una vida imposible. Necesitamos medidas de freno que se ajusten a esta dinámica, eficaces durante unas semanas”. La reflexión se traduciría así en un confinamiento total similar al decretado el pasado otoño.
