Biblioteca del Arsenal

La Biblioteca del Arsenal, situada a pocos pasos de la Bastilla y el Sena, es otra de las sucursales de la Biblioteca Nacional de Francia.

Es una de las bibliotecas más pequeñas de París, pero todavía cuenta con un montón de encanto histórico.
La fachada se remonta al siglo XVII y solía estar conectada al edificio cercano que ahora alberga al republicano Gard, y no se convirtió en una biblioteca pública hasta la Revolución Francesa.
Las salas de lectura y las librerías fueron construidas en el siglo XIX y restauradas en 2012. La biblioteca merece la pena ver su magnífico Salón de Música y sala de ilustraciones.

Biblioteca Mazarino

Con una grandiosa fachada y una luminosa sala de lectura, es difícil creer que la Biblioteca Mazarine a menudo pase desapercibida para los turistas que atraviesan el Sena y llegan al St-Germain-des-Prés.

Bibliothèque historique de la ville de Paris

El BHVP, al igual que su vecino museo al otro lado de la calle, el Museo Carnavalet, se especializa en la historia de la ciudad de París.

Originalmente ubicado en el Hotel de Ville hasta 1871, la biblioteca reúne documentos que datan desde el siglo XVI hasta la actualidad en la historia de París y está abierta al público.
Al igual que la Bibliothèque de l’Arsenal, es una de las bibliotecas más pequeñas, pero una parada digna de mención (gratis) en un recorrido a pie por el Marais.

Biblioteca de Santa Genoveva

La Biblioteca de Santa Genoveva es fácilmente uno de los edificios más impresionantes de París.

La abadía original de Santa Genoveva fue fundada en el siglo VI. El edificio de hierro que se encuentra hoy frente al Panteón fue construido entre 1838 y 1850 por Henri Labrouste, arquitecto de la igualmente majestuosa, aunque más pequeña, Bibliothèque Richelieu.
La fachada está grabada con los nombres de grandes mentes que hicieron contribuciones al cuerpo del conocimiento humano, incluidos Galileo, Copérnico y Shakespeare.
