Bistrot Paul Bert en Paris

A pesar de su decoración de la vieja escuela, este bistró abrió en tiempos más modernos, específicamente, a principios del siglo XXI.

Serás recibido casi de inmediato con un “bonjour”, después de lo cual comprobarán tu nombre en su libro de reservas gigante antes de llevarte a tu asiento a través de una de las tres habitaciones o se disculparán por no tener una mesa disponible.

El restaurante

Con paredes con espejos, arte ecléctico, suelos de baldosas, menús itinerantes en pizarra. Las mesas están bastante cerca una de la otra, pero qué mejor excusa para inspeccionar las comidas de tus vecinos como tu labor sobre tu propia decisión.
El menú de tres platos a 34 euros, todo en francés, tiene mucha carne. La lista de vinos es extensa. El bistrot también ofreció alrededor de una docena de vins du mois.

¿Qué deberíamos estar bebiendo?

Definitivamente es más un bistró de vino con cena en lugar de cócteles. Los aficionados al vino  pueden saltar por la cuadra hasta Le Cave Paul Bert, donde ofrecen una selección de vinos en constante cambio.

Huerta

Desde hace dos años, producen sus propias hortalizas en cultivo biodinámico, sin ningún aporte en el suelo, aprovechando al máximo un terreno que nunca antes se había cultivado.

La experiencia

Todas nuestras opciones fueron bastante tradicionales y no experimentales, pero los sabores simples hicieron su trabajo de manera notable. La clientela era mayoritariamente francófona, quizás clientes habituales. Los camareros eran atentos pero no agobiantes. En general, una deliciosa comida de miércoles por la noche y un nuevo must en la categoría de bistrot clásico.
